Kemtile win 2 more industry awards – That is 5 prestigious industry awards in 12 months

The Tile Association Awards are the "Oscars" of the wall and floor tile industry and this year is the association's 10th anniversary. For the 2010 awards The Tile Association received a record 127 nominations across the 21 categories. The award winners are judged to be the very best in the industry in their particular field.

Kemtile won Best Technical Use of Tile in a Construction Contract for work at NÖM Dairy, Telford.
"The system used was Kagetec AR using tiles with a crushing strength of approximately 55 N/mm2 fixed directly onto a concrete slab with a crushing strength of 40 N/mm2. Kemtile were responsible for laying the structural slab to a superfine tolerance to falls. The fully vitrified hexagonal tiles were laid straight onto prepared slabs using a thin bed epoxy resin. The tiles had to be laid to the same tight tolerances as a vibration fixed ceramic floor".

Kemtile trainee Niall Callaghan won Best Newcomer (tile fixing trainee)
"Niall Callaghan is just 20 years old. He has been a trainee with Kemtile since June 2006. He has achieved his City & Guilds/Construction Skills NVQ Level 2 in Wall and Floor Tiling. "Niall has the right attitude, taking on board advice and instruction given to him by his peers. He has shown a keen aptitude in all the different aspects of the work he has encountered and is maturing into a very good tradesman".

Kemtile were finalists in Excellence in Tile Contracting, Best use of Tile in a Large Construction Contract for NÖM Dairy, Telford and Best use of Tile in a Small Construction Contract for work at Staplemead Dairy, Frome.
