Kemtile appoints new Operations Manager

As part of its senior management team restructure, Kemtile has appointed Chris Cloherty as Operations Manager.

In his new role at Kemtile, the UK's leading hygienic flooring company and division of Stonhard, Chris will assume responsibility for its operations, HR and finance functions. This will include designing and implementing the most robust processes and procedures to support the growth of the business and integration of the Stonhard brand and product offering.

Chris joins the company from Tarmac, where he held a number of roles including manager for its concrete contracting division and operations manager for its SafetyDeck fall prevention system.

Kemtile's latest appointment follows the recent retirement of Stephen Westley, company founder and Director.

Commenting on Cloherty's appointment, Kemtile Operations Director Jamie Cook said: "We're delighted to have attracted someone of Chris's calibre to the company at what is such an important and exciting time in our development.

"Since our acquisition by US-based RPM Performance Coatings Group 18 months ago, we are implementing many changes to the business that will underpin our strategic direction moving forwards. It's great to have Chris on board to support our step-change, as we move into more sectors with an extended product range."

Chris says of his move to Kemtile: "The opportunity to join such a longstanding and respected business at such an interesting and exciting point was simply too good not to take.

"I have lots of experience of operations management within contracting, flooring and construction industries, as well as other sectors, but the principles remain the same each time.

"It goes without saying that I'm delighted to be using my knowledge and experience here at Kemtile, helping to fulfil our ambition to become the single source solution of choice for UK commercial flooring needs in a range of markets."
