New brewery raises a glass to resin

Specialist contractor Kemtile and flooring manufacturers Resin Surfaces Ltd have been credited with playing a key role in getting a new Manchester brewery ready for its big launch.

Cloudwater Brew Co chose RSL’s Resuthane TG69 flooring system for vital improvements to ensure the Piccadilly Trading Estate site would be a safe environment in time for the unveiling.

Co-founders Paul Jones and James Campbell were concerned that the warehouse floor was potentially dangerous due to its poor anti-slip performance.

Kemtile recommended the Resuthane TG69 product and installed it in the 400m2 floor area. TG69 is a heavy-duty polyurethane screed with a matt-textured finish, and is particularly suitable for areas requiring slip resistance and durability.

Paul Jones said: “I’m afraid our industry is filled with horror stories of poorly-performing floors and empty promises. RSL and Kemtile gave us complete confidence that we’d end up with the flooring we needed.

“We chose them because of their solid reputation for product quality and installation expertise. The installation team was professional and helpful throughout. We are completely happy with the work.”

Martin Wroe, Commercial Director at manufacturers RSL, said: “Customers expect products which provide superior durability and the highest standards of safety.

“The Resuthane TG69 system combines outstanding wear and anti-slip properties in both wet and dry conditions, making it the ideal choice for this project.”

The ‘brewery tap’ officially opened on Saturday, April 4.
