The Village Bakery is a family owned and managed craft bakery based in Wrexham producing an award-winning range of fresh bread and rolls, hearty pies and delicious morning goods. Village Bakery approached Kemtile with a brief to replace all the existing floors in the craft bakery and to lay a new floor in a planned extension.
To install a high-quality floor finish that was hygienic, cleanable and slip resistant.
What we did
Throughout the craft bakery and into the new extension Kemtile installed BASF Mastertop heavy duty polyurethane flooring in yellow and green. They also installed Wiedemann gulleys and drains. In a second phase of work Kemtile recommended a flooring solution for a new gluten-free bakery and installed BASF Mastertop heavy duty polyurethane flooring in the majority of floors, again with suitable Wiedemann drainage products.
Village Bakery then bought a third bakery site where they started making scones and welsh cakes for Marks & Spencer and then installed specialist crumpet and pancake lines, also to serve the major retailer. Again, Kemtile was brought in to supply the same BASF Mastertop flooring and Wiedemann drainage solutions.
